In a significant push to channel youth innovation into real-world industrial challenges, 40 finalist teams from 13 Delhi-based institutions have been shortlisted for the grand finale of the Delhi Government’s first-ever Industrial Ideathon 2025, scheduled to take place on August 22.
Speaking about the same Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that the overwhelming response to the Industrial Ideathon proves that the youth is eager to participate in policymaking with capabilities of offering real-world business solutions. “The finalists—from NSUT, IGDTUW, SSCBS, GGSIPU and other institutions—demonstrate how Delhi’s students are driving innovation across logistics, ease of doing business, technology adoption and MSME resilience,” he said.
The finalists emerged after rigorous assessments and rounds of presentations from an initial pool of 652 registrations, making this a highly competitive and talent-rich event. The Ideathon, organized by the Industries Department of the Delhi Government, aims to foster innovation by connecting young minds with the policy and operational needs of Delhi’s evolving industrial ecosystem.
The shortlisted teams reflect a broad spectrum of innovative ideas from AI-driven logistics platforms and EoDB (Ease of Doing Business) tools for startups, to frontier technologies like robotics and automation, and sustainable models for MSME development. This diversity not only showcases the technical and entrepreneurial depth among Delhi’s student community but also offers actionable solutions across key sectors.
The Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) has taken the lead with 10 finalist teams, followed by Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) with 6 teams. Other strong contenders include Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), with 5 teams each.
Finalists also hail from Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology (BPIT), Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education, Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College, Kirorimal College (Delhi University), Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT), Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi, Delhi Technological University (DTU), and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
The wide institutional mix includes engineering colleges, management schools, liberal arts institutions, and research universities—demonstrating interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.
In this first category – “Logistics & Supply Chain Management Issues of Industrial Units in Delhi”, 10 dynamic teams have been shortlisted. These include BharatVeer, BhejoElectric, SoftSync, Loginex, Alpha, Smooth Operators, Metro Minds, Achievers_101, Binary Bond, and REGUL-AI-TORS. Their innovative ideas are focused on addressing supply chain inefficiencies, digital integration, and scalable logistics solutions.
Similarly, for the second category – “Solutions for Ease of Doing Business (EODB)”, 10 shortlisted innovators are VyaparSetGo, Team Market Maniac, Team Ideonova, Pheonix, Team Nebula, Startup Saathi, Runtime Rebels, Team UDYAM, IndustHERial Minds, and Vision Syndicate. These groups will present ideas to simplify compliance, reduce entry barriers, and create seamless processes for startups and entrepreneurs.
In the third category – “Leveraging Frontier Technologies to Revolutionize Delhi’s Industrial Ecosystem”, another 10 promising teams include Team Garud, The Tinkerers, Fullstack Alchemists, Team All-emators, BluePrint, Cryon, Laserloom, Aimers, Team Rise, and The_Incredibles.
Their focus lies on applying Industry 4.0 tools such as AI, automation, and advanced manufacturing to drive growth and competitiveness.
Finally, under “Strengthening Delhi’s MSME Ecosystem through Practical Innovations”, 10 teams are Team MisFits, Team Destined, Oldman Sachs, NextGen_Coders, Team Mercury, Metalmate, The CodeCrux, Team ‘Bin it Queens’, New Gen Innovators, and Thoughtless Nerds.
Their work emphasizes financial access, market linkages, and sustainable growth for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
