The 30th Zakir Husain Memorial Lecture was delivered by eminent intellectual Shakti Sinha, who is the director of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, on the topic ‘Challenges of Technological Change’ on 6 April 2018.

In his lecture, Sinha spoke on the vast impact of technology in people’s daily life. He underlined how technological changes have caused the disappearance of many existing professions while generating new job opportunities. He emphasised that people should upgrade themselves to deal with these changes.

Prof Sunil Chaudhary, who chaired the session, opined that technology should be used as an instrument of not supplanting but supplementing humanity.
