Ahead of LS polls, 70343 licensed firearms deposited in Himachal Pradesh
Revealing this, a spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh Election Department here on Tuesday, said: “Besides, these 3278 weapons have been impounded or cancelled.”
In a tragic accident, around 30 persons, including Indian Army personnel, got feared trapped inside the debris of a building in Kumarhatti area of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, around 80 km from here.
Police said the accident took place at around 4 pm when a multi-storeyed building, that also houses a restaurant, collapsed suddenly.

Though the exact number of the trapped in the building is not yet known, most of the trapped persons are believed to be the personnel of the Indian Army.
As per initial reports, the Army personnel were stationed at Dagshai cantonment area and they had come to the restaurant for a party.
Police said the cause behind the collapse of the building is not known yet but it is believed that heavy rains might have caused the accident.
The Solan district administration, Sub Divisional Magistrate Solan along with relief teams has been rushed to the spot to rescue the trapped persons.
