Fifteen foreign nationals including 13 Nigerians and two Bangladeshis have been deported for residing illegally in the city, the Delhi Police said on Friday.
According to officials, the individuals were found staying in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka.
The police said the action was part of an ongoing crackdown on foreign nationals overstaying without valid visas.
A senior police officer informed that several teams apprehended 13 Nigerian nationals and two Bangladeshi nationals in separate operations conducted during August.
“The individuals were found to be overstaying in India without valid documents. They were presented before the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), which ordered their deportation. Following the order, they were shifted to a detention centre,” the officer added.
