Stage set for tomorrow’s polling in high profile Udhampur LS seat amid high security
Jammu and Kashmir has five Lok Sabha constituencies and each one will go to polls in separate phases because of security reasons.
Amid all the unpleasant news pouring in from Jammu and Kashmir, here’s something to cheer for. At least 12 candidates from the terror-hit state made it to the Civil Services-2016, the result of which was declared by the Union Public Service Commission on Wednesday.
Dr Bilal Mohiudin Bhat of Unsoo Wahipora in north Kashmir's Handwara area bagged the 10th position in the merit list to become the topper from the state. Bhat has earlier qualified the Kashmir Administrative Service examination in 2013 and Indian Forest Services in 2014. He joined as the divisional Forest Officer at Lucknow and is currently working there.
Zaffar Choudhary from Poonch in Jammu region also made it to the Civil Services by securing the 39th rank. Fakhrudin from Kashmir cracked the exam by securing 86th rank.

Bisma Qazi of Rambagh Bala in Srinagar secured 115th rank in her second attempt.
Suhail Qasim Mir, a resident of Bijbehara, secured the 125th rank in the coveted merit list. Mir did his graduation from Government Degree College, Bemina in Srinagar. Currently, he is pursuing PhD from Jamia Milia Islamia.
Others from the state who cleared the exam include Inab Khaliq, Saqib, Sahil Dhingra, Amir Bashir, Aditya Bhardwaj, Anayaat Choudhary and Bisma Qazi.
