CCI orders probe into Google Play Store, company responds
The company said that it was examining the CCI's order initiating the investigation.
The additional sessions judge (special) Ajanta Sadangi convicted a secretary and caretaker of a child care unit (CCI) of Bhograi of charges of committing sexual assault on a minor inmate of the short stay home. Both the secretary and caretaker of the CCI DP Jena,62, Namita Tripathy, 42 were sentenced to 10 year rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 15,000 and in default 9 more months term under different sections including committing rape under confinement and protection of children under sexual offences (POCSO) act.
The shocking incident had come to light in October 2015 when the victim alleged that she was sexually assaulted repeatedly by Durgam Prasad Jena and Namita Tripathy was abetting the crime. This incident had triggered a widespread discontentment against the CCI (Samaj Bikash Parishad). There was furious attack by locals on the CCI.
The mob ransacked the distress home and torched some of the property. They could not find Durga Jena. Initially Namita and Biplab, son of Durga had been arrested . The violence led to shifting of the 104 inmates to another school complex for safety. It is alleged that the victim from Jharkhand had been living in CCI for two months.

The main accused Jena had been assaulting the victim. One night the victim fled and was rescued by local people. The living villagers ran amok at the CCI torched several vehicles before police stepped in and restored order. Today, the court pronounced the judgement after exhibition of 21 documents and crossing examining 19 witnesses.
