Yes Bank, ‪NTPC Limited and ‪Bharti Airtel shares were in focus in the first half of trade on Friday amid positive domestic equity markets.

Yes Bank on Thursday announced the launch of a $650 million Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) issue with an option to upsize to $750 million. Yes bank shares were trading 0.9 per cent higher at Rs.1,529 at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Talecom major Bharti Airtel has agreed to buy Tikona Digital Networks’ 4G business, including its broadband wireless access spectrum and 350 cellular sites in five telecom circles for around Rs.1,600 crore. Bharti Airtel shares jumped 1.1 per cent to Rs.342 at the BSE.

NTPC Limited shares increased 0.2 per cent to Rs.164.60 on media reports that the company is planning to buy government’s stake in hydro-power producer SJVN Ltd.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was trading 127 points or 0.43 per cent higher at 29,459 while the NSE Nifty was trading 33 points or 0.36 per cent higher at 9,119.
