Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a major growth hub for PBPartners, the PoSP arm of Policybazaar, which reported a 74% surge in its health insurance business and a 143% rise in its agent partner network over the past year.
The company shared these milestones at a press conference here on Tuesday, underscoring its expanding presence and the growing demand for health insurance in the state.
The event was addressed by Neeraj Adhana, National Sales Head, Health Insurance, PBPartners, and Pankaj Kumar Upadhyay, Regional Head, Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand, PBPartners, who outlined the company’s achievements, partner initiatives, and customer-centric innovations.
In Lucknow, PBPartners operates across 225 pin codes with over 1,000 agent partners, marking a 56% year-on-year growth. Across Uttar Pradesh, the company has expanded its footprint to 1,815 pin codes and works with over 5,000 partners, a 143% increase from the previous year. PBPartners now aims to double this network to 10,000 partners by FY2025–26.
“These figures demonstrate not just a growing market but also the effectiveness of PBPartners’ initiatives in empowering local entrepreneurs and strengthening regional insurance ecosystems,” said Neeraj Adhana, National Sales Head – Health Insurance, PBPartners.
He added that rising consumer awareness has led to a shift towards more comprehensive and customised health plans. “Customers are now preferring personalised and inclusive solutions with features like Unlimited Restoration, Premium Lock, OPD, PED Reduction, and Critical Illness coverage,” Adhana noted.
Pankaj Kumar Upadhyay, Regional Head – Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand, highlighted the success of PBPartners’ Guaranteed Renewal Programme, under which over 10,000+ PoSP partners across India continue to receive renewal commissions annually, even if they are not actively selling. “This programme reflects our commitment to providing financial assurance and stability to our partners,” he said.
To further strengthen its partner network, PBPartners has rolled out key initiatives, including the PBP Mitra Helpline (1800 120 800), which has already resolved over 30,000 queries and handles 10,000+ monthly, and the PBP One Loyalty & Rewards Clubs, offering top-performing agents exclusive perks, recognition, and international trips to Thailand, Moscow, and London.
The company is also expanding its physical reach with Experience Centres in Lucknow and Varanasi, with a new one soon opening in Kanpur. These centres serve as hubs for training, operational guidance, and partner engagement, strengthening on-ground support for agents.
“Our Experience Centres are a reflection of PBPartners’ commitment to staying connected with our partners and enabling them with tools, training, and guidance to grow successfully,” added Adhana.
With its strong performance, partner-first initiatives, and deepening local engagement, PBPartners is set to play a leading role in transforming Uttar Pradesh’s health insurance landscape, bringing affordable and accessible healthcare protection to families across the state.
