Auto major Tata Motors today announced its foray into the Indonesian automotive market with the launch of three passenger vehicles. 
Tata Motors’ wholly-owned subsidiary PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia has launched Tata Aria, Tata Vista and Tata Safari Storme in the Indonesian market, the company said in a statement. 
Commenting on the development, Mr Karl Slym, managing director of Tata Motors, said: "Since we made the announcement to enter this market a year back, we have tested various products across Indonesian terrain and are convinced that we are bringing in the right product mix, offering smart solutions for mobility to our Indonesian customers." 
Mr Biswadev Sengupta, president director of PT TMDI, said: "All these products are being introduced after extensive trials and tests in Indonesia to ensure that they meet the operating requirements here.”
"Very soon, we will be coming out with many more products,” Mr Sengupta said.
He further informed that the company was introducing five  dealers to Indonesia and four more will come up by the end of this year.
“We hope to have a total of 15 dealerships by March 2014,” he added.
