FinMin open to idea of disinvestment in SBI, ONGC: Report
The minister further said the government is not against the idea of holding a minority stake in key strategic public sector companies.
Energy major ONGC on Sunday said Shashi Shanker has taken over as the company’s Chairman and Managing Director.
According to ONGC, Shanker, who was on the company’s board since 2012, took over from D.K. Sarraf.
“Shanker is an industry veteran with over 35 years of experience in diverse activities across the E&P (exploration and production) value chain,” the company said in a statement on Sunday.

“Prior to his appointment as Director (Technology and Field Services) in 2012, he had steadily progressed through senior management hierarchies in various work centres, including the Institute of Drilling Technology at Dehradun, West Bengal project, Assam project and deep water group at Mumbai.”
