Sensex turns red, Nifty runs below 11,900 during intraday trade

The BSE Sensex and Nifty50 at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) were running in red during intraday trade, after it opened on a positive note on Wednesday.

The Sensex was -37.71 points or 0.09 per cent low at 40,307.37 at 1230 Hours. On the other hand, Nifty was at 11,899.40, down by 14.05 points or 0.12 per cent.

Earlier in the day, the Sensex opened at 40,346.43 and the broader 50-scrip Nifty opened at 11,908.30 after closing at 11,913.45.

The top gainers during the intraday trade were: TCS (3.13); Reliance (2.55); Tata Motors (1.13); Tata Steel (1.03). On the other hand, top drags were: Larsen (1.55); Yes Bank (1.51); ITC (1.37); and SBI (1.29)

The Indian rupee recovered but it was still trading lower by 22 paise at 71.68 per dollar, with the domestic equity market are trading flat on Wednesday (November 13).
