Sensex remain green, Nifty declines 11597.85 during intraday trade

After gaining during the early trade, due to poll predictions that stated BJP may return to power in states Maharashtra and Haryana, Sensex on Thursday maintained its green, whereas Nifty declined during the intraday session.

The Sensex of the BSE was up 52.79 points or 0.14 per cent at 39,111.62 points at 1230 hours.

On Wednesday, stocks sensitive to Brexit closed higher, namely Mothersumi, Tata Motors, and Tata steel.

HCL Tech with 2.19 per cent remained the top gainer, followed by Bajaj Auto (0.87 per cent), Tata Motors (0.94 per cent), Vedanta (0.55 per cent) Kotak Mahindra (0.67 per cent). Whereas, M&M with (1.56 per cent); Bharti Airtel (1.54 per cent); Infosys (1.14 per cent) Sun Pharma (1.21 per cent) and ONGC (1.13) were the top five drags during the intraday trade.

On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 11597.85 points with a fall of 6.25 points or 0.05 per cent.
