Rajasthan govt grants customised package for ultra mega projects worth Rs 46,000 crore

In a major boost to the pace of industrialisation, the Rajasthan government has approved customised incentive packages for 10 ultra mega projects across various sectors, involving an investment of Rs 46,000 crore. The move is expected to generate around 12,000 jobs in the state.

The Rajasthan Board of Investment granted a special customised package to facilitate early groundbreaking and establishment of the projects. Approval for the package was given at the board’s 6th meeting held here on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Industry Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Chief Secretary V Srinivas, and high-ranking officers of the CMO and the Industries Department were also present.

The package granted under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme-2024 offers an array of incentives, concessions, and other forms of support to investors.

These large-scale projects are being introduced across multiple sectors, including solar module, cell manufacturing, renewable energy, automobile, mines and minerals, cement, chemical, and textiles for the establishment of new industrial units in Rajasthan, an official spokesperson said on Saturday evening.

Addressing officials at the meeting, CM Sharma asked them to maintain the pace of district-wise monitoring of progress in implementing the MoUs signed at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investors Summit 2024.

Sharma also directed them to project and promote the “One District-One Product (ODOP) Scheme.
