In an effort to boost the country&’s handloom sector, Union Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani on Sunday requested the countrymen to promote and celebrate the richness of "handloom heritage" on the occasion of National Handloom Day. Chief Ministers of various states and other ministers also pledged their support to promote the sector.
