To generate employment, Haryana to provide training on GST

To make Goods and Services Tax (GST) a source of employment, Haryana government has decided to impart training on the new tax regime to the youth.

The training will commence from December 15 in Hisar.

Gving this information on Monday, Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister,VipulGoel said that GST is also going to become a source of employment for youth, besides economic reforms.

He said that in the first phase, Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University (HVSU) would impart GST training for 18 days to prepare 75 GST master trainers and 1,000 GST account assistant.

Under this scheme, youth who have bachelor and master degrees in commerce and have registered under SakshamYuvaYojana, would be imparted training.

This scheme would not only provide a roadmap of employment to thousands of youth, but industrial units would also get skilled manpower, he said.

Goel said that in the days to come, Haryana would be at number one place in skill development and generating employment opportunities through employment oriented education. He said that HVSU has been continuously signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with industrial units and other universities to encourage youth.

Apart from all universities in the state, the government is ready to share its technical education and skill training infrastructure with other states, the minister said.

He said that self employment in the State would be promoted through small courses. Soon ITI passed youth would get an opportunity to appear for graduation and post-graduation in this university so that they could be posted on higher posts.
