A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Expertise Group met the Industrial Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, here on Saturday to discuss potential investments in the state.
Accompanied by Mr. Zafar Sareshwala, the delegation included Mohammad Anshif (Chief Strategy Officer), K S Sheik (Chief Operating Officer), and Haider Abbas Sayed (Business Director). The team expressed keen interest in setting up a ‘Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Uttar Pradesh’, projected to employ 500–1000 back-office professionals, along with plans to establish a manufacturing unit.
Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ assured the delegation of full support and facilitation, highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s robust law and order, investor-friendly policies, skilled workforce, vast consumer base, and world-class infrastructure—positioning the state as a prime destination for global investors.
Expertise Group currently operates a major back-office in Mangalore, Karnataka, and now intends to relocate these operations to Noida, leveraging the benefits of the Uttar Pradesh Government’s GCC Policy 2024. This move marks the Group’s first significant step toward expanding its footprint across multiple sectors in the state.
