Both Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL promise better camera features and battery life
At its annual developers meet Google I/O 2019, the tech giant Tuesday unveiled the latest generation of Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. The smartphones will be available from May 15.
Speaking at the Google I/O 2019 at Mountain View in California, CEO Sundar Pichai said “building for everyone” was among the core philosophies of the company.
“We believe technology can help us be more inclusive, and AI is providing us with new tools to dramatically improve the experience for people with disabilities,” he said.

The new handsets promise better camera features and battery life, and will be available in India for Rs 39,999 onwards.
Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3XL were launched in India in October 2018, when it was priced between Rs 71,000 and Rs 92,000. The devices are now available in the range of Rs Rs 57,000-74,000.
The more affordable new generation lineup, it seems, aims to woo customers in countries like India where the premium smartphone market is expected to grow by 30 per cent.
Quoting Counterpoint Research Associate Director Tarun Pathak, a PTI report said “mid-tier variant of Pixel” was expected to provide Google with “a chance to start things from scratch in some of the emerging countries like India where premium market is small but growing fast”.
“This can help Google to lock in some first-time users who are looking for premium features at an affordable prices,” he said.
Google said the eSIM for Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL eSIM would now be supported by Airtel and Reliance Jio.
