Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) officially stated in a stock exchange filing on Tuesday that it has operationalised a total of 87.5 MW of power projects at Khavda, in Gujarat, taking its renewable energy (RE) generation capacity to 16 Gigawatts (GW).

“Adani Green, through its subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Forty Five Limited, commissioned a 75 MW solar project, and through its other subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Limited, commissioned a 12.5 MW solar project. Adani Green has been rapidly increasing the commissioning of its solar projects. Last week, the company operationalised a 125 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat, through its subsidiary. After commissioning, the company reported an increase in AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity to 15,990.5 MW. AGEL plans to reach its completed operational capacity of 30 GW by 2029.

After the commissioning of the latest capacity, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation fleet has increased to 16 GW. Out of the 16 GW renewable energy capacity, solar power comprises 70 per cent, wind accounts for 13 per cent, and hybrid projects make up the remaining 17 per cent.

AGEL’s total solar projects comprise 83 per cent of 25-year fixed tariff power purchase agreements and 17 per cent of merchant sales.

The company reported a solar capacity utilisation factor of 28 per cent in the first quarter (Q1) of the financial year (FY) 2026.

Recently, AGEL had commissioned 125 MW of the Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six solar project at the same location in Khavda.
