KOLKATA, 17 JUNE: Dena Bank plans to open 13 branches in the east zone, five being in West Bengal. In the north-east region, six branches in Assam, two in Sikkim and one in Meghalaya are under consideration, Mr Ashwini Kumar, chairman and managing director of the bank said here today.
He said the bank’s areas of focus this fiscal (2013-14) include West Bengal, Haryana and Punjab owing to the strong agricultural belt in these regions. Compared to the 122 branches of the bank opened last financial year across India, Dena Bank plans to open 150-200 branches this fiscal year, Mr Kumar said.
Dena Bank, today opened its new branch under core banking solution (CBS) at Tematha (Kalikapur), in 24 Parganas (South) district.
