UPSC declares Indian Forest Service results, 110 candidates successful

The result of Indian Forest Service examination has been declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday.

A total of 110 candidates have been declared successful by the Commission, an official release said.

Of these, 48 candidates are of General category, 37 belong to Other Backward Classes, 17 to Scheduled Castes and eight to Scheduled Tribes, it said.

The final selection is based on the results of the Indian Forest Service (main) examination held in November, 2016 followed by personality test in February-March, 2017.

The result will also be available on the UPSC website–www.upsc.gov.in.

The marks of candidates are expected to be available on the UPSC's website within 15 days from the date of publication of result, the release said.

Candidates may obtain any information or clarification regarding their examination or recruitment from the "facilitation counters" set up by UPSC near the examination hall building in its campus here, on working days between 10 AM to 5 PM in person or over telephone.
