The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Service Prelims Result 2018 was declared on Saturday. The results were announced on the official website of the UPSC: upsc.gov.in.

The prelims exam for the Civil Service was conducted on 3 June 2018. Candidates who appeared for the exams will have to use the details on their admit card to check UPSC IAS Prelims 2018 results.

Candidates who clear the UPSC prelims examination will be able to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Main examination, which is scheduled to be held in September.

UPSC said that all the candidates who qualified the prelims have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form, DAF (CSM), for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2018, which would be available on the website of the Union Public Service Commission upsconline.nic.in.

The DAF (CSM) will be available on the website of the Commission from 23 July to 6 August till 6.00 pm.

The UPSC Civil Services Main Examination will be held from 28-30 September and 6-7 October. The Indian Forest Service Main Examination 2018 is scheduled to be held from 2 December 2018.

The 2018 results were expected to be announced on 15 July. Last year, the exams were held on 18 June and results were declared on 28 July.

How to check UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Results 2018:

Step 1: Visit the official websites of UPSC – upsc.gov.in, upsconline.nic.in

Step 2: Find and click on link ‘Result- Civil Services(Preliminary) Examination, 2018’.

Step 3: You will be redirected to a page containing roll numbers of successful candidates.

Step 4: Find your roll number in the last. Download result and take a print out.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam is conducted every year for civil services posts in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other all-India services. The exam is conducted in three stages: preliminary, main and interview.
