The Class 10 and 12 board examinations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad will commence on Wednesday, February 18, with more than 53 lakh students set to appear across the state under enhanced security and technology-driven monitoring.

The examinations will continue until March 12, 2026. This year, a total of 53,37,778 candidates have registered, including 27,61,696 High School (Class 10) and 25,76,082 Intermediate (Class 12) students.

To ensure fair and transparent conduct, 8,033 examination centres have been established across Uttar Pradesh. These include 596 government schools, 3,453 government-aided institutions and 3,984 self-financed schools.

Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi inaugurated the state-level control room at the Directorate of Secondary Education in Lucknow and said the examination system has been made fully technology-based in line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directive for transparency and cheating-free exams.

The government has identified 18 districts as sensitive, while 222 examination centres have been categorised as highly sensitive and 683 as sensitive. Special Task Force personnel and intelligence units will remain active, and highly sensitive centres will be inspected twice daily.

Each examination room has been equipped with two CCTV cameras with voice recording, along with routers, DVRs and high-speed internet. The entire process will be monitored live through webcasting, and strong rooms storing question papers and answer sheets will remain under round-the-clock surveillance.

In addition, authorities have deployed 8,033 centre superintendents, an equal number of external superintendents and static magistrates, along with 1,210 sector magistrates and 427 zonal magistrates. Mobile squads at divisional and district levels and state observers have also been appointed to ensure strict supervision.

Special anti-cheating measures include reserve question paper sets stored in double-lock systems and answer sheets embedded with four-colour serial numbers, the Board logo and micro “UPMSP” markings to prevent tampering.

Under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, strict action will be taken against any irregularities.

The minister wished students success and urged them to take the examinations with confidence and without fear. Helpline numbers and online complaint facilities have also been activated to assist candidates and parents during the examination period.
