Tech Mahindra hosts Nirmaan 2018, a Campus Connect program, in Pune

More than 250 students across the universities and institutes like Symbiosis Institute of Technology (Pune), AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (Pune), Bharathi Vidyapeeth (Pune), Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College (Aurangabad) and Changu Kana Thakur College (Mumbai) took part in the event.

Tech Mahindra hosts Nirmaan 2018, a Campus Connect program, in Pune

Nirmaan 2018 was hosted in Pune to provide upskilling opportunities in next-gen technologies.

Tech Mahindra, a provider of digital transformation and IT-based services and solutions, hosted Nirmaan 2018 a ‘Campus Connect Program’ at its research and development arm, Makers Lab, in Pune.

The aim was to provide upskilling opportunities in next-gen technologies to students.

More than 250 students across the universities and institutes like Symbiosis Institute of Technology (Pune), AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (Pune), Bharathi Vidyapeeth (Pune), Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College (Aurangabad) and Changu Kana Thakur College (Mumbai) took part in the event.

Speaking at the eventNikhil Malhotra, Head of Makers Lab at Tech Mahindra said, “Industry-academia collaboration is key to driving innovation in next-gen technologies, and to ensure that the future talent pool is in sync with the changing market dynamics. Through Tech Mahindra’s Campus Connect program, we hope to inspire enthusiastic students to innovate, and be the change agents in the digital world.”

Through the Campus Connect program, Tech Mahindra says, it reaches out to leading educational institutions across the globe and offers 6 – 8 months internship opportunities and summer projects lasting for 6-8 weeks to well-performing students, at Tech Mahindra’s various facilities and innovation hubs.

Tech Mahindra is collaborating with educational institutes to define, design and deliver AI, ML, AR / VR syllabus sessions, and educating students on design thinking and start-up competitions.

Makers Lab organizes guest lectures, workshops, field visits and internships for the student community around the year.

Tech Mahindra has seven Makers Lab R&D centres globally – UK, US, Germany and India (across four locations Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru).
