The University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Kolkata organised its convocation ceremony 2026 at its New Town campus, conferring degrees upon students of the 2025 pass-out batch. The ceremony marked an important milestone in the academic journey of graduating students.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of Honorary Doctorates (Honoris Causa) upon eminent personalities from academia, science, and industry, recognizing their exceptional contributions to society, research, and professional excellence. The distinguished awardees included renowned scientists, academicians, and industry leaders.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr Satyajit Chakrabarti, Pro-Vice Chancellor, UEM Kolkata, who emphasised the university’s role in shaping competent professionals with strong ethical values. The convocation address was delivered by the chief guest, Prof V S Chauhan, Padma Shri and former Executive Chairman of NAAC, who inspired the graduating students to pursue excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning.
The ceremony was gracefully anchored by Dr Debika Bhattacharyya, Controller of Examinations (COE), IEM-UEM Group.
The convocation concluded with the awarding of PhD certificates and degree certificates to the graduating students, and the ceremony formally ended with the National Anthem.
