With the belief that music breaks boundaries and has the power to transform our Vasudhev into Kutumbkam, around 500 talented singers came together to re-create a musical confluence of world cultures at Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan on the occasion of the Annual Inter-House Choir Festival on Tuesday.

A scintillating performance blending the classical and contemporary dance forms cast a spell on the audience. The eight houses of the school wove a vibrant tapestry of musical styles and rhythms through an array of songs sung in languages ranging from Irish and Polish to Malayalam, English, and Hindi.

The chief guest at the event was Dr. Radhika Chopra, renowned vocalist and composer of Hindustani Classical Music. Welcoming the guests to the musical extravaganza, school principal Dr. Jyoti Bose said, “Music is a universal language and transcends all barriers and troubles. It melts the soul and elevates us”.

Dr. Radhika Chopra complemented the school for providing a rich platform to the students and exposing them to different genres of music. Her soulful rendition of classical ragas and ghazal hit the right chord with the audience.

Amity House was awarded the first prize, while Forward House and Felicity House received the second and third prizes, respectively. Aryan Dogra bagged the Trophy for the Best Soloist in the male category, whereas Divleen Kaur Ahluwalia received the prize for the Best Solo Performer in the female category.
