IIMT-Bhubaneswar showcases research, innovation, and concurrent engineering

The Interscience Institute of Management & Technology (IIMT)-Bhubaneswar marked National Space Day with the hosting of the International Conference on AI and Concurrent Engineering (AICE-2025).

The event was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Jayadev Kar, Director, IIMT, who delivered the welcome address.

The session began with an introduction by Mrs. Soma Mitra, Associate Dean (R&P), followed by the formal welcome of guests by Mr. Alok Arun, Assistant Professor. On the eve of National Space Day, IIMT also launched a new academic initiative — a book series titled “IIMT Lecture Notes on Corporate Readiness.”

The series is designed to equip students with practical insights, professional skills, and corporate exposure, enabling them to better explore and adapt to the corporate world.

The program began with a welcome by Prof. (Dr.) Jayadev Kar, Director, and participation from global and national experts in Artificial Intelligence. Eminent contributors included Prof. (Dr.) Kazumi Nakamatsu (Japan), Prof. (Dr.) Rupinder Singh (NITTTR Chandigarh), and Dr. D. Chandrasekhar Rao (BPUT Rourkela). Key sessions covered digital manufacturing, generative AI, AI-driven mechanics, and career prospects in VLSI, delivered by IIMT’s academic leaders. Prof. (Dr.) Srikanta Patnaik, Chairman, also highlighted the institute’s growth trajectory since its inception. The conference reflected IIMT’s vision of integrating research, innovation, and societal relevance, while encouraging students to engage with advanced technologies shaping the future.
