IEM strengthens global academic connect through education fair

IEM Kolkata

IEM Kolkata organised a highly impactful Australia-New Zealand Education Fair, reaffirming its position as a globally oriented institution committed to student advancement and international academic engagement. The event brought together nine reputed universities and international education partners, offering students a rare opportunity to interact directly with global university representatives.

More than 300 students from diverse academic streams and year levels actively participated in the fair. Through one-to-one interactions and advisory sessions, students gained in-depth insights into undergraduate and postgraduate programs, research opportunities, internships, post-study work options, scholarships, and global employability trends in Australia and New Zealand.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Satyajit Chakraborty, Director of IEM Kolkata, stated: “At IEM Kolkata, we believe that global exposure is no longer optional ~ it is essential. This education fair reflects our vision of empowering students with international perspectives, academic mobility, and industry-relevant opportunities.”

Highlighting the academic significance of the initiative, Dr Samapika Das Biswas, organising chair of the event, said: “The fair was designed to bridge aspiration with accurate information. Students could directly clarify doubts regarding admissions, research culture, internships, and career pathways, making this interaction extremely valuable.”

The event was supported by Global Reach, a leading international education consultancy. Ravi Lochan Singh, managing director of Global Reach, commented: “IEM Kolkata stands out for its proactive approach toward internationalization. By hosting such focused education fairs, the institute is enabling students to make informed global academic decisions.”

The fair was efficiently coordinated by the organising team comprising Dr Chandan Adhikari, Dr Arnab Basu, and Dr Anubhab Ray, ensuring seamless engagement between students and international delegates.

The Australia-New Zealand Education Fair thus stands as a strategic milestone in IEM Kolkata’s journey toward global excellence.
