The examinations for the Intermediate (IPC) course of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will be held in May 2018.

Registration for all exams – Foundation, Intermediate and Final – will begin online on 5 February and will be open till 26 February. Candidates can apply with late fees till 5 March.

According to the ICAI, the candidates will be able to write their answers in Hindi for all the examinations.

The exam schedule is as under:

Foundation course exam: 10, 12, 14 and 16 May 2018

IPCC exam group 1: 3, 5, 7 and 9 May 2018

IPCC exam group 2: 11, 13 and 15 May 2018

Final course exam group 1: 2, 4, 6, 8 May 2018

Final course exam group 2: 10, 12, 14, 16 May 2018

Internal taxation assessment test: 10, 12 May 2018

The exams will be conducted in 192 centres of the country. Details of the examinations are available online at icaiexam.icai.org.

Results of the IPCC exam conducted in November 2017 have also been announced. Candidates can check exam results on the official websites: caresults.icai.org and icai.nic.in.

According to reports, Ahmedabad’s Jay Dharemendrabhai Sheth topped the exam with 75.71 per cent marks. Susarla Aravind Jayaram from Kolkata came second with 75.14 per cent marks. Simran Kessar from Navi Mumbai came third.

The students who have cleared the exam are now eligible to appear for CA final examination.
