SC directs Centre, States to fill vacancies in CIC, SICs
The Maharashtra SIC is without a Chief Information Commissioner and functioning with only four Commissioners even though more than 1,15,000 appeals/complaints are pending, the petitioner said.
Online application for around 1089 posts under the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSSB) was thrown open to eligible candidates on Tuesday.
There will be direct recruitment to the advertised posts. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website of HPSSSB: http://himachal.nic.in.
Candidates who are between the ages of 18 and 45 can apply for the advertised posts. The upper age limit is relaxable by five years for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC, Persons with disabilities and children/grandchildren of freedom fighters from Himachal Pradesh.

The upper age relaxation is also available to ex-servicemen candidates of HP as per provisions of relevant rules/instructions of HP government.
Online applications can be filled from 5 July 2018 to 4 August 2018 till 11.59 pm. There will be no offline submission of application forms thus all submissions to the Commission must be made online before the last date.
The highest number of posts is in the HPSEBL which has a vacancy of 222 Junior Engineers. While Elementary Education requires 132 TGT (Medical), 102 Lab Assistant (Allopathy) are needed for the Health Service department.
The Dental Health Services has a vacancy of 46 Dental Mechanics.
