CSA University VC resigns; Kanpur Commissioner takes additional charge

Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology

Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSA University) Vice Chancellor Anand Kumar Singh resigned from his post on Wednesday.

His resignation has been accepted by the Raj Bhavan. Governor and Chancellor of the University, Anandiben Patel has assigned additional charge of the university to Kanpur Divisional Commissioner Vijayendra Pandian.

According to a letter issued by the Raj Bhavan, Singh’s resignation was accepted on October 13.

It is noteworthy that during the university’s convocation on September 19, Patel expressed her displeasure from the stage regarding the poor condition of the university campus.

She questioned the management and offered several corrective suggestions. This sparked a wave of discussions on the university campus.

On the instructions of the Raj Bhavan, a team of administrative officials also inspected the campus, but the Governor was not satisfied with its report. This has sparked renewed discussions about the Vice Chancellor’s resignation.

However, no statement was issued by Anand Kumar Singh on his resignation.
