After a series of controversies over unconvincing examination toppers in the recent years, Bihar is again in the news. This time, the state has earned a bad name because of the faux pas by ‘experts’ in the education department.
In a question paper for Class VII students of government schools, Kashmir has been mentioned a country! The half-yearly assessment test was given by Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC) that is responsible for the implementation of the universal education programme, the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, under the Right To Education (RTE) Act.
In the question paper, students were asked to write what people of five countries — China, Nepal, England, Kashmir and India — are called.
