Malda College witnessed a historic moment on Wednesday as it hosted 12-year-old prodigy professor Suborno Isaac Bari, hailed as the world’s youngest professor.

The New York-based genius, of Bangladeshi origin, captivated hundreds of students, teachers, and academicians with his extraordinary knowledge of physics and mathematics.

Professor Bari delivered a two-hour lecture at Malda College, where he explained complex scientific concepts in a simple, engaging manner that left the packed audience spellbound. Later, he also interacted with students and faculty at Gour Banga University.

Fondly known as “Professor Bari, the Child Prodigy,” Suborno gained global recognition at an early age for his exceptional grasp of advanced scientific theories. He was conferred the title of the youngest professor for his remarkable achievements and has been inspiring young learners across the world to pursue science with curiosity and confidence.

The atmosphere at Malda College was charged with excitement and emotion as students and teachers listened attentively to the young professor. Many described the session as an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that would encourage them to dream bigger and aim higher.

College authorities extended special thanks to the NCC and NSS units for their discipline and dedication in organising the event successfully.

“This day will be remembered as a shining milestone in the academic journey of Malda college,” said principal Malda College, Dr Manas Kumar Baidya, adding that Professor Bari’s visit had left an indelible mark on the minds of young learners in the district.
