Murshidabad violence planned by BJP: CM
Terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'great liar', Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said that the violence at Rezinagar in Murshidabad on Wednesday was preplanned by the BJP.
The widow of the slain Trinamul Congress leader Nitu Singh from Chinsurah seeks the intervention of the state chief minister Mamata Banerjee for justice.
The district police could not yet trace out the killers of Dilip Ram, who was shot point blank by allegedly BJP backed goons on 29th June of this month, while Dilip was waiting on platform no 5 of Bandel station to avail the Naihati local.
Nitu Singh the Bandel panchayat pradhan and also the widow of the slain Trinamul Congress leader of Chinsurah said, “Mr. Ashit Mazumdar MLA Chinsurah had number of times intimated the district police about impending attack on my husband Dilip Ram by the BJP backed goons who had previously tried to harm my husband but failed, the indifferent and relaxed attitude of the police administration cost the life of my husband who was a very active leader and dedicated worker of the ruling party. The BJP were on the look to eliminate my husband since for him they could not gain political ground in the area. I lodged an FIR against Biju Paswan, Sanjay Mishra, Arjun Singh and Samudri Yadav, they are all directly linked with the BJP district unit they are also involved in number of anti social incidents. The district police yet to arrest anyone stated in my lodged FIR..’’
