The draft voters’ list for West Bengal was published on Tuesday, marking the completion of the first phase of the Election Commission of India’s three-stage Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
Along with the draft roll, the Election Commission has also made public a separate ASD (absentee, shifted, deceased)/SIR list of voters whose names were present in the electoral rolls as of 2025 but do not figure in the Draft Roll of SIR 2026, triggering the claims-and-objections process.

Separate ASD/SIR list flags voters missing from Draft Roll 2026
According to the Election Commission, the ASD/SIR list includes voters whose enumeration forms were not received during the revision exercise. The list was prepared by Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) in consultation with Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
This ASD list is distinct from routine deletions and focuses on voters whose details could not be verified during enumeration. Such voters have now been formally flagged and must submit claims to be re-included.
The list is available on the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), West Bengal website.

The downloadable ASD list contains names of voters who were part of the 2025 rolls but are missing from the Draft Roll of SIR 2026.
How to check if your name is missing from the SIR 2026 draft roll
- Step 1: Visit the official website: Open ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in/asd_sir
- Step 2: Choose your District and Assembly Constituency from the dropdown menus.
- Step 3: Locate your Polling Station name and download the ASD list linked to it.
- Step 4: Check whether your name appears in the list of voters excluded from the Draft Roll 2026.
- Step 5: If your name appears in the ASD list, submit a Form 6, along with a Declaration Form and supporting documents, within the notified period.
Claims and objections window: December 16 to January 15
Aggrieved voters whose names are missing from the draft roll or appear in the ASD list can file claims and objections from December 16, 2025, to January 15, 2026.
In the next phase, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) will look into claims and objections and decide on them after checking the details.

Final voters’ list on February 14, elections next
The final voters’ list for West Bengal will be published on February 14, 2026, after the completion of all claims, objections, and verifications.
Following this, the Election Commission is expected to announce the schedule for the West Bengal Assembly elections, due next year.
The first phase of the SIR began on November 4 and concluded on Tuesday with the publication of the draft rolls.
