BURDWAN, 31 MAy: Police arrested two female employees of a chit fund company who are said to be keeping in touch with its absconding director.
Police raided the office of the chit fund company in Durgapur this morning and arrested Ms Moumita Chattaraj and Ms Anita Mukherjee. “The two had been sending e-mails regularly to the director of Axes Multi Developer who is at large since 29 April,” said an officer.
Police raided the corporate office of the company on 29 April following complaints by a depositor. Despite several raids three directors of the company couldn’t be traced. Their cell phones also couldn’t be tracked. Police investigations revealed the absconding directors had been in touch with their employees via e-mail and were getting regular feedback from the local staff.
