TMCP gives relief to students at hostels

After the downpour in Kolkata, the streets were flooded and water entered the campus as well as multiple hostels. In Hironmoyee Girls Hostel, water entered the ground floor rooms and the hostel kitchen. Boys Hostel and Jute Hostel were also severely affected, with water going inside rooms and kitchen areas. Yesterday, students had to manage only with dry food as they could not go out to buy raw materials for dining.

After hearing about this situation, students from Trinamul Chhatra Parishad visited the hostels today, spoke to the students and hostel supers, and distributed lunch packets to both students and staff to the best of our capacity.

The TMCP also distributed VIP passes for Durga Puja pandals to the students, as most of them will be leaving the hostels within the next two days for Puja vacation. On this occasion, we wished them a very Happy Durga Puja. May Maa Durga enlighten everyone and bring joy, prosperity, and happiness to all.

“We want to assure everyone that we are always beside the students in every situation. The only aim of CUTMCP is to reach out and help the students,” said Avirup Chakraborty, State general secretary of TMCP.
