After a gap of almost two months, swine flu claimed another life in West Bengal.
A 32-year-old woman resident of Barrackpore of North 24 Parganas succumbed to the H1N1 virus at a private medical facility here in the city on Wednesday, West Bengal Health Services Director Biswaranjan Satpathy said.
"We have received a report about the death of a person because of swine flu. Though we are yet to get the details of the case primary reports suggest that the woman was admitted at the hospital with Dengue on Saturday. Later on she tested positive with the H1N1 virus," he said.
On Wednesday she succumbed to the disease, he added.
The disease had claimed 25 lives in the state from January till March.
