South Bengal to receive rainfall due to low pressure zone

South Bengal is expected to receive a few spells of moderate rainfall due to the formation of a low pressure area for the next two days, said the meteorological department.

“A low pressure area has formed over northern Bay of Bengal and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal for which South Bengal is expected to receive rainfall for the next few days,” said the weather official.

“There is a monsoon trough passing through Bikaner, Jaipur, Sambalpur, Gopalpur to North Andaman sea,” he further added. It was a hot and sweaty day today with the maximum and minimum temperates being recorded as 34 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius respectively.

The maximum humidity was 92 per cent while the minimum humidity remained 59 per cent.
