FMSTAI–2025 saw 87 technical presentations at North Bengal varsity

Frontier in Mathematical Science: Theory, Applications and Innovation (FMSTAI-2025)


The three-day international conference on “Frontier in Mathematical Science: Theory, Applications and Innovation (FMSTAI-2025)”, organised by the department of mathematics, University of North Bengal, in association with the Calcutta Mathematical Society, concluded on Wednesday.

The conference featured 87 technical presentations and witnessed the participation of over 150 academicians, researchers and scholars from India and abroad. The event provided a vibrant academic platform for the exchange of ideas and discussions on emerging trends and innovations in mathematical sciences.

Addressing the valedictory session, Prof. Sudeshna Basu of Loyola University, USA, and Prof. Kalyan Chakraborty of SRM University appreciated the efforts of the organisers in successfully conducting the international conference. They also distributed certificates to the participants.

Prof. Bhaskar Biswas, acting registrar of the University of North Bengal, commended the department of mathematics for its initiative and noted that the sustained and sincere efforts of the organising team—particularly Dr D C Pramanik, Dr Sujay Kumar Biswas and Dr Kalyan Saha – over the past three months were instrumental in ensuring the success of FMSTAI–2025.

Dr Kalyan Saha, technical coordinator of the conference, expressed gratitude to Dr Sanjay Kumar Ghoshal and the research scholars of the department of mathematics for their cooperation in meticulous planning and the smooth conduct of the technical sessions.
