Cracks were noticed on Ultadanga flyover this evening as the experts from the night inspection team was checking the flyover.
The cracks developed in the same portion of the flyover which had collapsed on 3 March 2013.
Traffic was thrown out of gear as the flyover was immediately closed for vehicular movement from both sides and the commuters faced immense trouble in reaching their destinations.
It comes as a surprise to many engineers as the cracks have appeared on the repaired portion. The engineers from KMDA will be visiting the spot to inspect the cracks.
The flyover, which connects VIP Road and the airport with EM Bypass, will remain closed for the next three days.
