Balurghat, 1 October
Closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) will soon be installed at the premises of Balurghat district hospital to ensure security as well as to control the rush of unwanted visitors. Primarily, the CCTVs would be installed separately both at the indoor and the outdoor departments of the hospital.
Sources said the decision has been taken recently. “These would serve two purposes. It would ensure security and, at the same time, these would help us to stop unwanted visitors loitering in the premises,” a senior hospital official said.
The Balurghat district hospital superintendent, Mr Asit Dewan, said two CCTVs will be installed primarily at the main building of the hospital.
“We have provided space for the installation,” he added.
