To facilitate the smooth and fast movement of commuters, Metro Railway has decided to operate additional services on the night of New Year’s Eve in the Blue Line on 31 December.
On that day, the city Metro will operate eight additional services on the Blue Line between Dakshineswar and Shahid Khudiram, with one additional service to be operated up to Dum Dum from Shahid Khudiram.
According to the city Metro office, these eight special services will operate after 9.40 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. The special Metro from Dakshineswar towards Shahid Khudiram at 9.40 p.m, 9.52 p.m, 10.05 p.m. and 10.18 p.m. Trains from Shahid Khudiram towards Dakshineswar would be operated at 9.54 p.m, 10.04 p.m and 10.17 p.m. while those from Shahid Khudiram towards Dum Dum would run at 10.30 p.m.
