In a scathing attack on the Central government over the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 exam, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai said that the dreams of the youth have been tampered with as paper leak cases have raised serious questions about the government’s functioning.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Ajay Rai called the move an example of the government’s failure. He alleged that the government cannot conduct a national-level examination in a safe and transparent manner as it lacks the moral right to remain in power. The fear of paper leaks has exposed the government’s preparations and arrangements.

He further alleged that the Central government is not serious about the future of the youth because the people in Delhi are playing with students’ futures. The country’s youth are watching the situation and will respond in the future.
The Congress leader demanded strict action against those responsible for the situation called for a transparent and secure the examination.
