Bhubaneswar, 7 February: The Congress today alleged that the CM Naveen Patnaik who is also the president of the ruling BJD had indulged in electoral malpractice in the RS polls and the Election Commission of India has to examine a complaint in this regard. We will pursue the case said senior Congress leaders who were rejoicing over the victory of RS candidate Ranjib Biswal. We had petitioned the Election Commission of India and the special observer has sent his report, they said while noting that Independent mla&’s Braja Pradhan  and Jitu Patnaik had been invited the Patnaik&’s house on the eve of polls and they declared their support to the BJD.
The two and Naveen Patnaik poised for photographs and even addressed media persons extending support to each other.
Now, the question is with regards to Pradhan who was one of the proposers of Biswal. A proposer of the Congress candidate does a turn around and he admittedly votes in line with the BJD. This, allege Congress leaders here, constitutes a clear case of electoral malpractice committed both by Pradhan and the BJD president Naveen Patnaik.     sns
