Ganja seized: Gajapati police have seized about 15 quintal of ganja from a village in Mohona block on Friday. Acting on a tip off, a joint team of Mohona and Adava police conducted the raid in the village, about 15 km away from Adava and seized the contraband. The approximate market value of the seized item would be around Rs 50 lakh, a senior official informed.
Rail dormitory: An air-conditioned dormitory was inaugurated at Bhubaneswar railway station on Wednesday.  The upper-class waiting hall in the first floor of the station has been converted as the dormitory having facilities for 10 male and four female guests. Any person with a valid ticket can book a bed in the dormitory for Rs 135 for 12 hours and Rs 225 for 24 hours, said the senior divisional commercial manager of Khurda Road division, Mr HL Luang.
Health camp: Inhabitants at least 30 villages in remote  Kaunrikala area under Jhumpura block in Keonjhar district availed health care facilities at a free health camp organized by Rungta Mining Company. Tribals of the area who find it difficult to access the district headquarter hospital were attended by Dr B Choudhary, Dr Madan Mohaptra and Dr Riaz Barqat. Top executives of Rungta company ~ Mr Ramu Agrawal,  Mr Suvendu Chakra and others monitored the health check up camp and interacted with the tribals and doctors.
