J-K: 3.7 magnitude earthquake hits Kishtwar
An earthquake of 3.7 magnitude struck Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar region on Monday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology.
An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale hit Russia's Kamchatka peninsula on Wednesday, the local seismological station said. A tsunami alert was also issued.
The quake occurred at a depth of 22.8 km at 7 am and the epicentre was located in an enclave in the Bering Sea, 85 km north of Ust-Kamchatsk, TASS news agency said.
The quake was followed by an aftershock measuring 4.9 after 25 minutes. So far, the quake's impact on the area is unknown, Efe news reported.
