Ward 99 residents cheer as KMC gets busy restoring pond
When a JCB, deployed by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation moved into action to restore a more-than-half-filled pond this morning, it gave the residents of Ward 99 some ray of hope.
Wild and beautiful, white daisies and cosmos in pastels bloom beneath the tall pines. They whisper new hopes and dreams in the wet wind.
Spread your wings and fly away to the Abode of Clouds and let your dreams come true.
Don’t look at the neon lights for a while. Leave the hustle and bustle of the high city life for now. Come away to the place where you can listen to the sound of murmuring brooks and blissful silence. Let your hair down in the soft drizzle, and smell the freshness of the green ferns drenched in the rain.

Take the road less travelled—the long and winding road to the hills and up the mountains. It’s always a joy ride here, with nature’s bounty all around you… tall pines and lakes, small hillocks and rolling meadows.
