Google Assistant which lets users control Chromecasts from its Google Home smart speakers is now expanding the feature to Google Assistant on Android smartphones and iPhones as well.
The feature was first spotted by Android Police, to which Google also confirmed that Chromecast control functionality has been rolled out to Android smartphone and iPhone users. However, it is likely that the update might roll out gradually in batches.
Now the Google Assistant app can control a cast session through voice, and the user can even specify which Chromecast in the house is the target. This eliminates the Google Home control and you can finally control your connected speakers and TVs from your iPhone or Android phone directly, added report.

The feature appears to work for Chromecasts devices, Chromecast Audio, and with devices having built-in Chromecast. The user needs to start Assistant on the device and give a command such as “Play Spotify on Chromecast” and it will perform the desired action.
Along with the ability to start or stop media, the user can also control volume, pause, and do everything else that is possible with Google Home.
