Chouhan, who was not appointed Madhya Pradesh chief minister after BJP's landslide victory in last year's assembly polls, thanked PM Modi for the new opportunity.
Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Wednesday came down heavily on the Congress for declining the invite to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22.
Chouhan said that the new BJP government will continue the schemes started under his rule.
The outgoing MP CM said, "Mae maangne se behtar marna samjhunga" (I will prefer dying rather than asking or begging for something).
Chouhan said that he will keep supporting Mohan Yadav.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that it was Shivraj Singh Chouhan's victory in MP.
Mohan Yadav was nominated for CM post by Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Dr Yadav touched Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s feet and the latter blessed him by keeping a hand on his head, as both the leaders greeted each other.
In a decision that could surprise many, Mohan Yadav’s name was announced after the BJP Central Observers held a meeting with the 163 BJP MLAs in Bhopal in the evening.
