The Union Ministry of Education recently released a pre-draft of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for school education.
The Union Home Minister said that the New Education Policy-2020 brought by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the only education policy on which there was no controversy or opposition and it has been accepted by all.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said here on Sunday that the New Education Policy, which is intended to make youth global citizens, will be implemented soon.
Modi said with the New Education Policy, the country was preparing an education system that was futuristic.
PM on Saturday virtually addressed the Amrut Mahotsav of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul in Rajkot of Gujarat on the completion of 75 years.
He discussed various issues with the Vice Chancellor of Goa University, Deans of IIT Goa, and Directors of NIT, Goa Institute of Management, and BITS Goa.
"English medium will be started from Anganwadis, which will be transformed into satellite foundation schools and shall be guided by foundation schools to ensure the best teaching available. The foundation school will be set up within a kilometre radius and high school in a three-kilometre radius," the CM said.
NEP will be implemented in government higher education institutions by making use of LMS (learning management system) and Unified University College Management System (UUCMS).
